DRM TO HOST CELEBRATED BBQ COMPETITION FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS NOVEMBER

Distillery Road Market (DRM) is firing up as it plays host to its inaugural DRM BBQ Fest, with a competition sanctioned by The Australian BBQ Alliance, a BBQ celebration and festival.

The world-class barbecue festival and competition, DRM BBQ Fest will again turn DRM’s outdoor precinct into the ultimate meat lover’s paradise on Saturday 22 November from 11am-9pm, and adding more to the day including a Q&A stage and a special activation.

Bringing together top pitmasters near and far from around Queensland, the best barbecue vendors, Artisan Vendors and of course cold brews from onsite Brewery Perentie Brewing Co. DRM BBQ Fest is a celebration of quality meat that’s BBQed, slow-cooked, and most importantly delicious.

From brisket to Pork ribs and everything in between, festivalgoers can indulge in mouthwatering creations from the onsite offerings while enjoying live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, market stalls and interactive experiences.

DRM BBQ Fest is more than just a food festival, it’s a competition that sees pitmasters go head-to-head in a battle of technique, flavour, and fire.

Across the day, competitors will vie for top honours in categories such as Brisket, Pork RibS and Chicken to be crowned the Overall Grand Champion. With smoke-filled air and sizzling grills, the stakes are high for those aiming to take home the coveted titles.

For festivalgoers, the experience extends far beyond the plate. DRM BBQ Fest offers an action-packed lineup of live music, demonstrations from industry pros, and interactive experiences where attendees can learn the tricks of the trade.

The festival also includes the market hall packed to the brim with local businesses, showcasing some of the finest craftsmanship in the industry as professionals demonstrate their precision and skill.

Located off Exit 35 of the M1 Motorway with more than 600 car parks at the precinct, DRM is located advantageously along the Gold Coast and Brisbane growth corridor in the rapidly growing Logan City, making the markets both visible and easily assessable from the M1 Motorway.
