DISTILLERY ROAD MARKET TRANSFORMS INTO A WINTER WONDERLAND

Distillery Road Market (DRM) is warming up this winter with a showcase of live music, family entertainment, local produce, delicious dining, and a special Christmas in July pop-up market this Saturday, 30th July.

Crowd favourite, Trucks & Tunes returns this Saturday with a special Christmas in July edition of DRM’s pop-up markets presented by BrisStyle.

Guests can get into the festive spirit, bring the whole family along and enjoy some gourmet eats and treats, as they sing songs of good cheer and meander through the markets.

With numerous local artisan makers trading inside DRM’s Market Hall space, marketgoers can shop a range of handmade, ethical and sustainable wares from vendors including Blue Eyed Girl Creations (colourful handmade accessories), Little Wolf & Co (unique handmade jewellery), Tina Rolley Ceramics (one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces) and more.

Live and local from DRM’s Trucks & Tunes stage, soul-jazz crooner Jake Meywes Band will be performing from 4.30pm, followed by local blues group, Dogsband, who will be serving up enticing tunes to keep toes tapping from 6.30pm.

Brother-sister music duo, The Genez, will also be bringing their cool indi-pop tunes for easy listening from 4.30pm at Sugar Creek Smokehouse and Posadas Cantina – DRM’s onsite outlets serving up smoked meats and authentic Mexican all markets long.

As the home of Zarraffa’s Coffee, guests attending DRM’s markets can enjoy warm brews and café eats from its factory concept café kitchen and bar, Kiwanda Café.

Over winter, Kiwanda’s kitchen and bar is open through until 8pm on market events and nestled inside the precinct, where guests can take a seat and warm up in front of the live fireplace.

DRM’s Bazaar Markets kick on next month on Thursday 4th and 18th of August, featuring fresh produce from local growers, meats, preserves, bulk foods, arts and crafts creations, artisan wares, flowers, plants and more.

Located off Exit 35 of the M1 Motorway with more than 600 car parks at the precinct, DRM is located advantageously along the Gold Coast and Brisbane growth corridor in the rapidly growing Logan City, making the markets both visible and easily assessable from the M1 Motorway.

With free entry, parking and entertainment, DRM’s market experiences have been created to celebrate and showcase the best of SEQ’s marketeers and food vendors.
